Proxmox on scope7 - Powerful Virtualization, Ready to Deploy

With Proxmox Virtual Environment running on a perfectly matched scope7 appliance, you get a powerful open-source platform for virtual machines and containers. Pre-installed, thoroughly tested, and ready to deploy or restore in minutes thanks to Secure Disaster Recovery.

Modern Virtualization with Proxmox VE

Proxmox Virtual Environment (Proxmox VE) is a powerful open-source platform for centrally managing virtualized IT infrastructures. It combines traditional KVM-based virtual machines and lightweight Linux containers powered by LXC within a single, web-based management interface.

Virtual machines, containers, networking, storage, and clusters can all be configured and monitored from one central location. Features such as high availability, integrated backups, role-based access control, and software-defined storage make Proxmox a flexible foundation for small business environments as well as demanding data center and edge computing deployments.

Combined with our scope7 appliances, Proxmox becomes a fully integrated solution: high-performance hardware, pre-installed software, and practical tools for rapid deployment and reliable disaster recovery.

Get Started with Proxmox in Three Simple Steps

1

Choose the Right Appliance

Together, we'll select the scope7 appliance that best matches your requirements for compute performance, memory, networking, and storage.

2

Prepare the Configuration

Proxmox VE comes pre-installed. If required, we can also prepare your preferred base configuration and store it on the Secure Disaster Recovery (SDR) stick for fast deployment later.

3

Connect and Launch

Simply connect the appliance, apply the prepared configuration, and start building your virtual infrastructure - without the need for time-consuming manual installation.

Built to Scale

As your infrastructure grows, your scope7 appliance can grow with it—from additional compute and storage resources to high-performance Proxmox clusters.

Fast Recovery with Secure Disaster Recovery

Configuration errors, corrupted installations, or failed system drives can lead to significant downtime in virtualized environments. With our Secure Disaster Recovery (SDR) solution, your Proxmox appliance can be reinstalled automatically and with minimal effort.

The included SDR USB stick contains all components required for your specific system. During boot, it automatically detects the appliance and performs the recovery process with little to no manual intervention. There is no need for a separate installation source or for manually locating drivers and system components.

This allows the appliance to be restored to a defined baseline in a matter of minutes. SDR not only simplifies disaster recovery but also streamlines rollouts, testing, and standardized deployments across multiple locations.

PXReconf – Configure Proxmox Faster

Since our Proxmox appliances are delivered with Proxmox VE pre-installed, we developed PXReconf to simplify system customization after deployment.

PXReconf allows you to adapt key settings of a freshly installed Proxmox appliance to your environment. This includes the hostname and other system-specific configuration parameters.

A predefined configuration can also be stored directly on the SDR USB stick. During a reinstallation, this configuration is automatically applied, eliminating the need to manually repeat common setup tasks.

This is particularly valuable when deploying multiple systems with a standardized baseline or when quickly reintegrating a recovered appliance into an existing infrastructure.

Standardized Configurations

Prepare predefined baseline settings and reuse them for future deployments.

Less Manual Work

Hostnames and other essential system settings are automatically restored, reducing manual configuration after recovery.

Faster Rollouts

Deploy multiple appliances or remote sites quickly using a consistent configuration.

Reproducible Installations

The combination of SDR and PXReconf ensures that every installation follows a standardized, reliable, and repeatable deployment process.
